Update 9th of September 2022: "Interlaced"

The final mixing and mastering is ready and 30th of September will see the first release "Interlaced".

A single / ep with 2 songs : "Dark Ride" and "Interlaced".

Update 26th of August 2022: New music coming soon!

I am currently doing the final mixing and mastering off 11 tracks, which will all be released soon. First a 2 track single (2 tracks from the album) and then an album. After the album a second single or EP will be released, containing 2 tracks from the album and 2-3 new tracks (which will not be on the album). Stay tuned for more information.

Last week Friday "Clouds" was released. As mentioned earlier mentioned, "Clouds" is the 5th and last track from Phase 1 (From April to April). I am currently working on writing up a conclusion for Phase 1, entitled "From April to April", and compiling the tracks from the Phase.

I am also working on increasing postings and communication. For now I will try to give a general update every Friday.

"Clouds" is out now

"Clouds" is now available in most digital music stores and streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon, Bandcamp, Deezer, etc.

“Clouds” is the 5th and last release from Phase 1 (April 2021 to April 2022). As such it is a continuation of the story from the last release “voices”, which in short was about triggers and input. These triggers and inputs are somehow a natural part of the creation process and way of working, when I am making music. It is a kind of “amorphous” process without any fixed “shape” or “form”, a process which is more a flow than something “structured”. Of course, I am doing this based on a plan and with a set of goals in mind. However, the actual moment, when I am working on music, is a process that constantly changes and evolves, a bit like when watching clouds in the sky. Clouds take on many shapes, and those shapes changes when they roll across the sky. When I am working with music, there are also moments with many shapes (e.g. ideas) that change over time (during the process) and end with a “snapshot” of the moment when the track is ready, like a snapshot of a cloud.

The track itself starts with a dark undertone, but also with some lighter tones on top (which could be hope, but is maybe more reflection). It then goes into a more “practical” atmosphere, maybe manual labour and then ends with a sort of sensation of “something” being finished or ….. closure.

While working on this track, I had my mind set towards “amorphous” or “formations” as a track name. However, in the final phase of completing the track and preparing for the release, the word and sensation of “clouds” constantly came to my mind. In the end I chose “clouds” - It just feels right and reflects my music and way of working a lot. Clouds never float in the same way or pattern and they change endlessly from one second to another, like my mind.

"Voices" is out now

"Voices" is now available in most digital music stores and streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon, Bandcamp, Deezer, etc.

When browsing for a track for this release, I came across this one. A track where I was experimenting with a sort of muffled and “bit crunched” voice. While working on the track, I started reflecting on what I was doing, because I had a sort of “overwhelming” feeling in my head. That feeling kept growing and naturally more voice like samples were added, because ….. this is actually how I would picture “the inside of my head”. All the ideas I am constantly getting, all the little voices, speaking to me, feeding me with all kinds of ideas.

In the beginning of the release phase I was working towards calling the track “the voices in my head” or “little voices”, but I did find both too strong, psychological and maybe also a bit too weird. Instead I decided to keep it very simple and just call it “voices”. However, the track does picture both and it is just my idea to call it that, because that is how I picture this sort of “situation”. As always, it is up to the listeners to have their own experience and translate it they way they see it, and only if they want to.

The track as such is based on a sketch created as part of the idea that “Circles” would be a 2 track single. In the end “Circles” ended up as a one long, single track. As such, this track does not really have any relation to “Circles”. The track consists of 32 layers / channels of sounds, atmospheres and samples (around 1/3 is pure samples).

In short, it is a brief journey through my “head” and “amorphous mind”.
